Depression of the blood-forming organs has been, however, an uncommon occurrence, and only two previous cases of aplastic anemia due to streptomycin are known to have been reported at the time of this communication.Little evidence of toxic effects of streptomycin administration upon the hematopoietic system has been observed in animal studies. Feldman and Hinshaw10noted no effect on hematopoietic tissues or hemoglobin values in tuberculous guinea pigs treated for...Bibliography1.
