Abstract

Synthesis of SSZ-24, a pure silica zeolite with AFI framework, usually takes a considerably long hydrothermal period by conventional method. Herein, we report a fast synthesis of the SSZ-24 zeolite in 60 min, which was realized by combining the feature of fast heating in a stainless steel tubular reactor with seeding strategy under higher synthesis temperature. In addition, the fast synthesis method showed an advantage, compared with the conventional method, in inhibiting the concurrent crystal growth of impurity phase.
