Abstract

The stages of the development of fast reactors in the world are analyzed. It is shown that substantial progress has been made in the development and operation of sodium-cooled fast reactors and accident-free operation of the main liquid-metal equipment, equal to the performance of general industrial equipment. Ways to make nuclear-power-plant units of this type competitive are discussed.
