Abstract

Several protocols have been proposed to provide fast and robust mutual authentication and key establishment for wireless networks. In this paper, we present an enhanced Fast and Secure Key Agreement (EC-FSKA) protocol based on Elliptic Curve cryptography. The proposed protocol provides all essential security services. It is adapted to low power networks and real time applications. The EC-FSKA achieves a compromise between the robustness and the rapidity. In terms of computational and communication load, it offers highly improved performance compared with the known key agreement protocols and it ensures also an excellent robustness against the famous attacks.
