Abstract

Most multimedia mobile devices, such as smart phones, MP3 players, PMPs, and digital cameras, provide users with the ability to search and browse multimedia contents stored in the device. This paper proposes a new mechanism that enables us to save and restore the browsing state of a multimedia mobile device. When a mobile device is turned off and later turned back on, we can restore its browser screen quickly by using the proposed mechanism. The experimental results show the performance advantage of the proposed mechanism.
