Abstract
Based on the characteristics of video storage, this paper analyzes the shortages of existing file system in video application. Then a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) special-purpose file system is proposed. In this special file system efficient video storage and retrieval can be achieved. Video pictures of specified time can be positioned quickly and accurately.
