Abstract
Faced with union activity, it's not unusual for a supervisor to make a comment or take an action that is unlawful. As regular readers of Management Report are aware, unlawful activity during a union campaign can have significant consequences. For example, unfair labor practice findings can provide fertile campaign material for a union, cause an election win to be nullified, and, in the most extreme cases, hand the union a free pass to a bargaining relationship.
