Abstract
In this study, a novel residual space object 3D model reconstruction approach is proposed. First, several low-cost CubeSats are assigned to carry out multi-view image capture in the vicinity of the space target, yielding a series of images with relative pose information. Then, a fast 3D reconstruction approach based on NeRF is introduced, in which real-time performance and reconstruction quality are improved for fast on-board 3D reconstruction. Finally, a simulation test is designed to verify the performance of the proposed method, results show that the proposed NeRF-based method is superior to traditional method in terms of reconstruction speed and texture richness.
