Abstract

Nowadays, fashion design is increasingly drawn to different types of avant-garde art, and is increasingly becoming an element of conceptual installations. A change of attention from the consideration of the utilitarian-functional significance of clothes to the cultural and artistic thinking leads to the fact that the clothes can be can be described in terms of art criticism and be considered as an object of interdisciplinary connections of design and art. The rebellious and provocative decisions of deconstructivism in the design of clothing are favorably received by modern society and become more popular. Therefore, it is important to analyze and study the basic theoretical and philosophical foundations of deconstruction, study its features. Objectives. The purpose of the article is to investigate the basic theoretical and conceptual foundations of Jacques Derrida's deconstruction, the philosophical basis of deconstruction theory and its manifestation in the context of clothing design. Methods. The use of art-historical and comparative methods testifies to cross-subject studies of the problems of deconstruction, its philosophical-theoretical aspect. Systematic principles and synergistic approach is used in the theoretical substantiation of conceptual principles and basic principles of deconstruction. The method of comparison and historical analysis used in defining the concept, main characteristics and features of the phenomenon of deconstruction in the context of a fashionable costume. Results. The deconstruction is proved to be a method or can be transformed into it, as it is analysis, criticism and operation. It means, deconstruction is a process that occurs due to a particular object is a method that influences on the process. This research has given outcomes in such main purpose of deconstructivism in the fashion sphere: the priority use of advanced tools and technologies in the combination of ideas (rebellion / demarche / expression) and abstract language of artistic expression. From an ideological point of view, deconstructivism is a garment-protest that opposes the established interpretation and understanding of fashion, against its boundaries and frameworks, fixed by previous generations, against its technical and aesthetic constraints. In this case, deconstructivism is more aesthetic rebellion than technical or constructive rebellion. Conclusions. Deconstruction has become one of the most important phenomena in fashion, which has even forced critics and researchers to rethink their idea of a fashion. The change concerns not only conversations about clothing in the context of deconstruction, but also fashion in general. Unlike traditional methods of research, deconstruction tries to illuminate fashion from the middle of its structure, reveals the pivotal landmarks of fashionable being, reveals the driving forces of fashion development. Hence, by expanding the existing limits of knowledge (about the world, culture, man, art and fashion) and opening up new perspectives, where the birth of ideas or meanings is no longer summed up by any dogma or authority, but on the contrary, proceeds from a living, creative immersion, deconstruction reveals huge meaning-making potential in fashion practice gives new impetus to its true revival.
