Abstract

Maharashtra has the highest range of suicides by distressed farmers among all states; a replacement analysis of farmer deaths over the past 3 years reveals simply however deep despair runs in Vidarbha, wherever the most crops embody cotton, soya beans plant beans and oranges. From 2012 to April this year, a complete of three, 145 farmers committed suicide within the six districts in Vidarbha region – Amravati, Yavatmal, Wardha, Washim, Akola and Buldhana.
