Farm machinery depot: Opportunity to implement digital technologies in agriculture

Abstract

The authors made a comparative characteristic of the application of digital technologies in largest economies and the Russian Federation. Currently, largest economies widely use this kind of technology in agriculture in almost all operations performed, which allows you to predict, monitor, and make timely management decisions on its planting, care and harvesting. The use of modern digital technologies in agriculture in our country on a large scale is used only by large agricultural holdings, which solve problems at the level of their farm. The authors proposed an actual form of digital technology application, which is able to solve problems at the level of the region and the country as a whole, namely farm machinery depot. Against the background of the unfavorable epidemiological situation in the world, the use of intellectualization systems allows not to stop the production process in agriculture, which contributes to the food security of the country, nevertheless the author considers the impossibility of transferring the production of agricultural products in general to digital technologies due to the specificity of the sphere of activity, which requires the presence of people and agricultural machinery in the fields.
