Abstract

We present original data on Faraday rotation and MCD in the garnet Ca3ZrSbFe3O12 with magnetic Fe3+ ions situated in the tetrahedral sites. The magneto-optical measurements were performed in the wavelength region 0.42–1.15 μm at temperatures of 6–300 K. The analysis of the spectral and temperature dependences of the one-ion-based FR model enabled us to identify the individual contributions to the magneto-optical effects.
