Abstract
A theoretical analysis of the faradaic noise for some complex electrode reaction is given. The general statistical model used takes into account the electrochemical rate-limiting step, adsorption, diffusion and the homogeneous first-order chemical reaction. The spectral intensity of the faradaic noise and the equivalent noise diagram are obtained on the basis of the Langevin method and of the well-known noise theorems.
