Abstract

The output energy and emission spectrum of a solid-state dye laser using Oxazine 1 in polyurethane as the gain medium have been measured. Under microsecond pumping, efficient lasing has been obtained in the range 700–745 nm. The highest conversion efficiency and output energy achieved are 23% and 127 mJ, respectively.
