Abstract
A very thin film of GdBaCuO (thickness t=300 A ̊ ) , with a transition temperature T c = 88 K, deposited on a very thin MgO plate ( t 0= 90 μm) has given a somewhat higher precision in the far IR (FIR) spectra observed at T = 300; 185; 86 and 10 K, than in previous measurements on thicker samples. For that oriented film, and within the accuracy of the measurements, plasma frequency v p = ( 1 2 πc) (N 0e 2/mϵ 0ϵ R 1 2 , keeps a constant value when temperature is lowered, v p= 4500 cm -1; collision frequency v c is a linear function of temperature for T > T c( v c= 1.6 T + 55 cm -1); a T 4 law for the number of quasiparticles in the superconductive phase seems acceptable with a collision frequency saturating around 50 cm -1. We have also to introduce three mid-IR- active oscillators at room temperature, and to keep them in the superconductive phase, with some increase of their strengths.
