Abstract
The rotational spectra of ozone and nitric acid vapour have been observed in the spectral region 10 cm −1 to 40 cm −1, at a resolution of 0.05 cm −1. For ozone, a theoretical absorption spectrum has been computed for the same experimental conditions; excellent agreement was found. The data on nitric acid vapour represent the first high resolution absorption spectra with reliable intensity information.
