Abstract

“Fantastic” is a broad discussion in the literature of the nineteenth century. This genre appeared sometimes in the form of novel or story. Initially, at the same time of the birth of the school of Romanticism, the literary form of Fantastic started to appear. Gerard de Nerval represents the world of fantasy by the textual techniques. In this paper, we study the effects of the literary textual features of the Aurelia. We will discuss about the relationship between the textual techniques for analyzing the mechanisms of Fantastic under the textual features. Gerard Genette’s theories could be considered as a good method for this analysis. Our research is based on the study of fantastic traits manifested in the form of textual features such as narrator, personages, space and time.
