Abstract
Empirical data from a survey on married women's employment in Denmark are presented indicating the nature and scope of married women's employment as well as an analysis of employment patterns during married life. Furthermore the impact of married women's employment on family life is discussed, specifically the effect on household activities in the family, the division of labour and the family power structure.
