Abstract
The purpose of this teaching strategy is to provide students with an opportunity to develop and express their perceptions and viewpoints about family life in today's society. Through use of cooperative learning groups and the cooperative strategy “word webbing,” students will create a project which depicts diverse cultural and family viewpoints in describing today's families. This teaching strategy is appropriate for elementary, middle, and secondary students and may be incorporated easily into a family life education unit or course.
