Familial pheochromocytoma associated with cerebellar hemangioblastoma. A case history and review of the literature

Abstract

The association of pheochromocytoma with neurocutaneous diseases and tumors of neuroectodermal origin has recently been recognized. The case reported here provides evidence to suggest that there is more than a random relationship between pheochromocytoma and these tumors of the primitive ectodermal tissue. In addition to similar etiology and pathology, it is likely that a common origin may be postulated.
