Abstract

Background and Aims: Angptl3 and Pcsk9 are both important proteins in lipid metabolism. It was previously shown that Pcsk9 plasma levels might explain part of the variability in LDL-C levels among patients with genetically confirmed familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). We hypothesized that Angptl3 might also effect the FH phenotype and investigated its relation with LDL-C in FH patients.
