Abstract

Angiosarcoma is a rare form of primary hepatic neoplasm. Blood pool scans using Tc-99m red blood cells or Tc-99m human serum albumin (HSA) are known to be useful in the diagnosis of vascular tumors, including angiosarcoma. The authors report a large exophytic hepatic angiosarcoma in which Tc-99m HSA imaging failed to demonstrate increased radioactivity even on the 90-minute image.
