Abstract

ABSTRAK Kanker payudara merupakan salah satu kanker yang paling umum terjadi pada wanita. Penderita kanker payudara biasa ditemukan pada stadium lanjut disebabkan adanya keterlambatan diagnosis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterlambatan diagnosis kanker pada klien kanker payudara. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah wanita penderita kanker payudara yang berkunjung untuk memeriksakan diri ke Puskesmas Waru Sidoarjo dan ukuran sampel 30 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling. Dalam mengumpulkan data penelitian menggunakan kuesioner yang nantinya akan disebarkan kepada responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan wanita kanker payudara sebagian besar (51,4%) mengalami keterlambatan diagnosis rendah. Pasien dengan keterlambatan rendah adalah mereka terdeteksi stadium 1 (72,2%), sebagian besar memiliki pengetahuan penyakit kanker payudara yang cukup (69,2%) dan mengalami ketakutan tinggi terhadap penyakit (75,0%). Diharapkan klien rutin melakukan deteksi dini menggunakan cara SADARI dan sesegera mungkin memeriksakan diri ke fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan jika merasakan adanya benjolan atau gejala kanker payudara. Breast cancer patients are usually found at an advanced stage due to a delay in diagnosis. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the delay in cancer diagnosis in breast cancer clients. This type of research is descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were women with breast cancer who visited to check themselves to the Puskesmas Waru Sidoarjo and a sample size of 30 people selected by accidental sampling technique. In collecting research data using a questionnaire that will be distributed to respondents. The results showed that most breast cancer women (51.4%) experienced a low delay in diagnosis. Patients with low delay are those detected at stage 1 (72.2%), most have sufficient knowledge of breast cancer (69.2%) and experience high fear of the disease (75.0%). It is expected that clients routinely conduct early detection using SADARI and as soon as possible check themselves to a health care facility if they feel a lump or symptoms of breast cancer.
