Abstract
The main objective of this study was to examine the students’ perception on the effect of social factors on students’ akhlak practices. This survey was a quantitative research and employed a set of questionnaire to collect data from the samples. The samples were form four and lower six students who were sellected from several secondary schools in Malaysia using the multi stage cluster sampling method. 3,262 students were involved in this study. The data were analysed using SPSS software. From this study, we may conclude that the students’ perception on the social factors that contributed towards akhlak practices was positive and the total overall mean was high i.e. 3.83. It also showed that parent and Islamic education factors were two main factors that contributed towards students’ akhlak practices. These were followed by community, law enforcement and school environment factors. Two other weakest factors i.e. artists and peers were only at moderate level and it seems that these two factors less contributed to the students’ akhlak practices.

Objektif utama pelaksanaan sistem pendidikan Islam ialah untuk memberikan penekanan kepada aspek penghayatan melalui ilmu pengetahuan, kemahiran bagi membangunkan insan yang bertakwa kepada Allah SWT. Satu aspek utama kini ialah cabaran media sosial yang terbuka dengan budaya negatif berasaskan kepada keseronokan, pakaian dan budaya hidup bebas yang mengetepikan nilai-nilai dan ajaran Islam. Penggunaan media sosial menjadi semakin popular di Malaysia menjadi satu budaya baru dengan kewujudan alat mudah alih tanpa wayar Ini semua memberikan kesan dalam aspek amalan Islam dalam kehidupan mereka. Kajian ini mendapati wujud hubungan yang positif antara pengamalan akhlak sosial Islam dalam kalangan murid bermasalah disiplin berdasarkan aspek ibu bapa, guru, rakan dan masyarakat. Kajian ini juga turut mendapati faktor yang banyak menyumbang kepada masalah disiplin dalam kalangan murid bermasalah disiplin ialah faktor media massa dan pengaruh persekitaran sosial masyarakat. Selain faktor bilik darjah dan pembelajaran formal, Azhar (2010) telah menjelaskan terdapat beberapa faktor sosial lain yang turut mempengaruhi amalan akhlak murid-murid seperti ibu bapa, rakan sebaya, masyarakat dan keperibadian guru itu sendiri
