Abstract
Faith Community Nurses International is a professional membership organization solely for faith community nurses. It was developed based on the premise that faith community nurses should be the driving force for this nursing specialty practice. The name reflects the goal of expanding the boundaries to a worldwide presence and to advocate for faith community nurses locally, nationally, and internationally. Faith Community Nurses International has seven goals, which include advancing faith community nursing as a nursing specialty, connecting faith community nurse’s worldwide, promoting financial sustainability of the specialty, supporting research in faith community nursing, providing continuing education programs for FCNs, and developing an online, peer-reviewed nursing journal. Faith Community Nurses International’s vision is to connect, support, and promote the global community of Faith Community Nurses is being realized as this organization moves forward.
