Abstract
Today’s young people are constantly confronted with a multitude of (dis)information via (social) media. The creation of docutubes helps them to develop a critical attitude. Through an active, collaborative and inquiry-based learning approach, young people learn about a topic on the basis of historical and current sources, then form a substantiated opinion and reflect on which attitude they can adopt. Subsequently, they translate their ideas and opinions into an audiovisual story: a docutube. Next, they reflect on the creative process. In so doing, they combine reasoned thinking with the development of digital literacy.
