However, there are few data on the sensitivity of ERCP in the identification of biliary leaks, which has been assumed to approach 100%. This is a case of biliary peritonitis caused by a bile leak after laparoscopic cholecystectomy that was not apparent on ERCP despite excellent opacification of the biliary tree.
