Abstract

The article deals with the fate of the transplanted free bone graft. Analyzed changes in the tissues surrounding the transplanted graft. The ideal graft is a demineralized bone matrix, which contains the bone morphogenetic proteins, biodegradable replacement of the newly formed bone, is inert to surrounding tissues, and being porous, is a template for the ingrowth of blood vessels. Thus, demineralized bone matrix is an alternative to bio-organic, ceramic and synthetic tarnsplants in view of osteoinductivity.
