Abstract

AbstractThe failure mode analysis is being a deliberate technique for the design of error-free service operation. In this competitive world, every manufacturing industry is facing problems to provide quality products. In general, failure may occur due to the lack of proper analysis of quality of the product; hence, it is required to scrutinize each component, assemblies and subsystems during the process. For each component, it is desired to inspect and record the failure modes and corresponding effects on the system in a specific worksheet. The whole failure mode analysis of any machine component can be carried out based on its features, design and processes. A failure mode analysis is qualitative analysis but it can be quantitative analysed based on mathematical failure rate models that are integrated with a statistical failure mode ratio database. This is treated as high structure, systematic techniques for failure analysis. This project is proposed to be the best energy conversion technique. Here the FMEA of mechanical hump is characterized by the RPN value, and some required action has been taken to increase its mechanical power and life period.KeywordsFMEAMechanical humpDesignEnergy conversionReliability study
