In her article entitled Faculty Bargaining Associations: National Objectives Versus Campus Contracts, Virginia Lee Lussier states that contracts at Oakland [University], Wayne State [University], and Dowling [College] are silent on the subject of teaching Importantly, she overlooks a provision of the Oakland University AAUP contract which relates indirectly to faculty work load. The 1973-74 agreement used in the study contains a standard separability clause (paragraph 76), which reads as follows:
