Abstract

Rationale: While Spain has one of the largest immigrant populations in Europe, comparatively little work in the country has focused on immigrant health. Nutrition studies contain important insight for this work because they link a principal determinant of health (diet) to a nexus of interrelated socioeconomic and environmental factors (e.g. acculturation) that influence immigrant health. The objective to examine the existing evidence on food, nutrition, and diet among immigrant populations in Spain.
