Abstract

School education for children with cerebral palsy can be exacerbated by various factors, including an inaccessible environment and architectural barriers, lack of qualified teachers, inability of school to incorporate such learners into the educational process on a par with other learners. The research highlights what adults with cerebral palsy who finished school consider the most important contributing factors of their successful school studies and what they hink was beneficial for their motivation. The research argues that adults with cerebral palsy regard the following factors as crucial for their success at school: treating them as equal, taking into account peculiarities of their cognitive process, having them participate in school events, implementation of program of socialization and bullying prevention at school, highly-professional and benevolent teachers as well as parents encouraging their children to study. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data.
