Abstract

The article is devoted to identifying the factors of challenges and threats of religious extremism in Kazakhstan. A comprehensive three-level analysis is carried out on the basis of a methodological approach, which implies the categorization of "push" and "pull" factors. In fact, it is the identification of what influences a person who accepts extremist religious ideology and becomes ready to take radical steps and actions. The analysis is aimed at developing a state-confessional policy to preserve peace and stability in Kazakhstani society.
