Abstract

Purpose: Several modalities of structured exercise program, such as physical therapy, aerobic exercise, lower-limb strengthening exercises, and mind-body interventions including Tai Chi and yoga are recommended as core therapy for knee osteoarthritis. However, heterogeneity in treatment response is poorly understood. Identification of factors associated with response to exercise regimen would inform improved study design and interpretation of future research.
