Abstract

Ceramic proton conductors have been fabricated based on H 3O +-β″/β-Al 2O 3 prepared by the ion exchange of NaK-β/β″- Al 2O 3. Difficulties experienced using this electrolyte in the construction of steam electrolysis cells and the cell performances are discussed.
