Abstract

The boom of the information technology industry has rapidly developed into an important industry in Malaysia. Thus, this has attracted many young employees from the Gen Z cohort which make up the bulk of the workforce in the labor market to join the industry. Hence it is pertinent for organizations to retain these young talented employees by improving their job satisfaction. This paper aims to find the factors that would improve job satisfaction which would lead to antecedents of job satisfaction and employee loyalty. The contribution of this study is to provide insights and a better understanding on the importance of job satisfaction in retaining human capital in the information and communications technology sector.
