Factors affecting fish exports of Vietnam to APEC member countries

Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the factors affecting the seafood export turnover of Vietnam to APEC member countries. Collecting data on Vietnam's seafood export turnover to 17 APEC member economies in the period 2001-2020 from the International. Trade Statistical. Database - UN Comtrade and related data. The authors approach through gravity model (Gravity Model) and use 3 estimation models for panel data: least squares estimation model (Pooled OLS), fixed effect model (Fixed Effect Model). - FEM) and Random Effect Model (REM). In addition, the study al.so examined the lag of the model with the period of 1 year and 2 years. The fit tests will be used to select the most suitable model and correct the defects that the model may have.
