Abstract

The effects of different physical factors on contact cooling of the finger were studied. A mathematical model was developed to predict the contact skin temperature change under different circumstances. The study proved that the physical and physiological factors, such as the surface material temperature, the mass of the material, the contact pressure, etc., affected the contact skin temperature change.
