Abstract
Factor V Leiden (FVL) mutation is the most common thrombophilic marker associated with venous thromboembolism (VTE). The risk of VTE is increased 3- to 7-fold in heterozygotes and 50- to 100-fold in homozygotes of FVL mutation [1].
