Abstract

In this study, the relationship between 7Be concentrations and meteorological conditions (including air pollution) was analyzed by means of the factor regression method as a prediction analysis approach. The study concerned central Poland (the city of Lodz) during the solar 24 cycle (in 2010–2020). It was found out that the variation in 7Be concentration in the air was highly correlated with meteorological conditions and aerosol concentrations. This study demonstrated a long-term empirical relationship between temperature, humidity, and sunshine period (insolation) and TSP concentration. Factor regression was applied to predict the 7Beisotope concentration changes in the troposphere based on data from the last whole 11-year solar cycle.
