Abstract

Factor analysis, as the basis of mathematical modeling of livingsystems, is based on the interdependence of individualcharacteristics that form the specifics of a particular property, quality. The study is based on the method of factor analysis, which allows us to speed up the assessment of producersof Kalmyk and Hereford cattle breeds by the quality of theiroffspring. The studies were conducted on a large sample ofdata, including various evaluation parameters of 96 breedingbulls and 272 sons. Indicators have been developed forone feature, which is quite suitable for the preliminary selectionof steers in breeding and commodity farms engagedin the breeding of beef cattle. For the final assessment, wehave compiled new indicators as follows: two indicators - liveweight at 8 and 15 months, live weight at 15 months and averagedaily increase from 8 to 15 months; three characteristics- live weight at 8, 15 months and average daily increase. Theseindicators are objective and easily measurable over a relativelyshort period of time. According to the estimates obtainedfor individual sons, it is possible to determine the evaluationof breeding bulls by the quality of offspring by summing thevalues of the new factors.
