Summary

Introduction

Facility Layout Problem (FLP) is defined as the finding of the most efficient departments arrangement on a plant area subject to different constraints in order to satisfy one or more objectives (Heragu, 1997). These above-mentioned features vary from one application to the other making the benchmarking of the performance of each approach a tough issue (Aiello et al, 2013). We collect papers belonging to the same class of problems and we identify those referred to the same instances This is the first time in which a bibliometric analysis is conducted on the FLP and it represents a framework of the main indicators that characterize publications in this field.
