Abstract

This case study describes the speech development of a boy (G) between the ages of 1;7 and 4;0. During this period G was receiving intensive speech therapy to facilitate his speech development as it was evident that he had difficulties learning to pronounce. G was given therapy at such an early age and intensively because his mother is a speech therapist. Treatment techniques are described in detail. The implications for speech therapy practice are discussed.
