Abstract

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have recently emerged as novel photocatalysts owing to their unique properties such as high surface area, flexibility, well-ordered porous structure, and functionality. In this paper, we report the rapid synthesis procedure of nickel metal-organic framework (Ni-MOF) through the microwave method. SEM and HR-TEM images confirmed that the synthesized MOF had the shape of the wire. The Ni-MOF showed higher photocatalytic efficiency in the degradation of crystal violet (CV) dye under simulated solar light.
