Abstract

We present a facile hydrothermal approach to synthesize Ni0.85Se nanosheets, in which NiCl2 and Na2SeO3 were used as precursors. The characterization results indicate that the Ni0.85Se nanosheets possess hexagonal crystal structure and large specific surface area. Significantly, the Ni0.85Se nanosheets showed excellent adsorption to methylene blue (MB) and catalytic activity to the hydrogenation of p-nitrophenol (PNP) in presence of NaBH4.
