Abstract

We fabricate the cube-like Fe3O4/graphene oxide (GO) nanocomposites by a one-pot ultrasonication process. The high saturation magnetization, MS 74.8-82 emu/g, with moderate coercivity, HC 112-121 Oe, was revealed in samples. The Fe3O4/GO nanocomposites achieved a value of maximum reflection loss (RLmax) of −66.7 dB at 16.8 GHz for a thickness of only 1.5 mm. A bandwidth (RL @ −10 dB) covers a wide value of 4.0 GHz. Besides, Fe3O4/GO nanocomposites illustrate the remarkable electromagnetic wave absorbing characteristics owing to optimal matching impedance, synergistic magnetic loss, and high dielectric loss. Furthermore, we discussed the feasible insights for the microwave absorption mechanism in Fe3O4/GO nanocomposites, which is a potential candidate for high-performance microwave-absorbing devices.
