Abstract

BCNO phosphors with higher quantum efficiency were prepared at 625°C using boric acid, melamine and citric acid as raw materials. XRD and SEM results indicated that BCNO phosphor has t-BN structure and its particle size is in the range of 1–5μm. The FTIR spectra revealed that the carbon related chemical band was influenced by the citric acid content. The photoluminescence properties suggest that the emission wavelength of BCNO phosphor can be excited by ultraviolet and blue light. The highest quantum efficiency of BCNO phosphor can be up to 50% which has potential application on white light-emitting diodes.
