Abstract
AbstractA simple, metal‐free methodology has been obtained for the preparation of 2‐arylbenzoxazoles from 2‐nitrophenols and arylmethyl chloride via an elemental sulfur‐promoted cyclization reaction. The reactions proceeded in moderate to good yields, and gram‐scale is applicable.
