Abstract

In this work, three-dimensional Cu2O anode material directly grown on copper foam has been prepared through a facile low-temperature heat-treatment method. The porous structure can not only alleviate the volume change of Cu2O but also enhance the diffusion of the electron and electrolyte. As an anode material for lithium-ion batteries, the as-prepared binder- and conductive-additive-free Cu2O electrode displays superior cyclic performance with high specific capacity and negligible capacity decay after 200 charge/discharge cycles.
