Abstract

Nanoporous copper (NPC) ribbons with bimodal pore size distributions can be facilely fabricated by one-pot chemical dealloying of dual-phase Al 15 atom % Cu alloy with quasieutectic structures in the HCl or NaOH solution. These NPC ribbons are composed of interconnected large-sized pores (several microns) with highly porous pore walls (tens of nm). Both large- and small-sized pores are 3D, open, and bicontinuous. Additionally, the length scales of ligaments/pores in the pore walls can be tuned by simply changing the dealloying solution.
